News from the Guidance Department:.

• Seniors, Guidance has a new scholarship opportunity.The Good Hope Middle School's National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) Scholarship is available now. The deadline for WMHS Seniors to apply is March 18th. Please come by the Guidance office or visit Gorebs.org to get a copy of the application. 

• Reminder: All dual enrollment paperwork for new spring enrollees is due to Mrs. Hunt no later than Wednesday, Dec 13th…..that’s this Wednesday, so be sure to take care of that asap.

• You can now sign up for Coach Osborne's driving class online at gorebs.org Click on online payments and sign up there.Classes will start January 8th after school.

Sports News: 

• The boys’ Soccer plays tonight at Pineville

• the girls’ and boys’ Basketball teams are at home vs Wossman

• And congratulations to the Lady Rebel Soccer team on their 2-0 victory over Pineville last night. Sophomore Ellen Caraway netted the first goal and Junior, Alia Sanchez finished off the scoring. The JV Lady Rebels also won their match 1-0 with Sophomore Wrenn Spears scoring the game-winner. The Lady Rebels will next travel to Franklin Parish on Thursday night.

Club and Organization News:

• The  homeroom canned food drive competition sponsored by Student Council has been extended to this Friday, December 15th.

• The Ag and Sign classes have combined forces for this year’s annual plant sale on Thursday and Friday December 14th and 15th from 8:30-2:30 pm in the main lobby of the school. The sale will feature Amaryllis Christmas flowers as well as Poinsettias and Christmas Cactus. The sign shop will sell Christmas signs, sports signs, and stickers. See Mr. Kavanuagh for more information.

• If any students are in need of any clothes or hygiene products, please fill out the care closet google form or see Mrs. Johnson in student services or Katie Boutwell in 1222. 

• Tonight, the Choir is presenting their Christmas concert. Come on out and enjoy some holiday music. It’s at 7 in the auditorium.
